Class Room Projects
Language and culture are complexly intertwined as they evolve and influence each other. Simply said, language is the means by which culture is transmitted, communicated and preserved. Hence they cannot be separated and are interdependent. As the torch bearers of promulgating our language, TCA Telugu Badi places significant value in imparting the knowledge about our culture and traditions. We recognize hands-on projects are the best means for students to learn, understand and retain the knowledge they amass regarding the same. On the occasion of prominent festivals like Dasara, Diwali, Sankranthi or Ugadi, students are asked to prepare charts/Trifold /PPT presentations depicting the significance of the festivals and various traditions and customs that are followed during those festivals. The younger students draw and color, while higher levels write few sentences and even verbally present the same to their peers. Students even are encouraged to learn about freedom fighters, great personalities, Indian Independence movement etc. Students are given topics to research and they are expected to present them in the class verbally. Even debates are hosted to encourage and motivate students to improve their spoken Telugu.
