Cultural Programs

Telugu Cultural Association hosts its Signature event “Ugadi”, celebrating the Telugu New year and Sankrathi, the festival of harvest, among many other events they host annually. TCA Telugu badi students perform song and dance and skits depicting the significance of our language, culture and traditions during these events. Some enthusiastic Telugu Badi teachers, go above and beyond their call of duty and write skits, teach students to perform, recite the dialogues with proper diction. Some parents too help and support the teachers in coordination rehearsals, preparing props and costumes. It is a wonderful communal bonding exercise where parents, teachers and students work as one unit towards a unified goal. This aids students in learning about our epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana, our festivals, the purpose of our traditions and the beauty of our country side.

I think the curriculum, teacher interaction, everything is really good. The blog is very user friendly and has all the information at one place. The class location being so close, it really encourages us parents also to send kids for the class. I cannot imagine taking my kid to Sugarland from here for the class.
